About the Owner: Pete Skidmore Jr.

Pete graduated from Fort Mill High School and began his college journey at The Citadel, completing his first year before life took him on a different path.

In 2012, after serving a deployment in Iraq and accumulating seven years of investigative experience, Pete returned to complete his college education at Winthrop University. He graduated with a degree in Sociology and a concentration in Criminology.

During his time at Winthrop, Pete’s passion for social justice grew even stronger. His experiences there inspired him to dedicate his career to advocating for individuals who might otherwise feel they have no one fighting on their behalf.

As a private investigator, Pete has worked on some of the most serious criminal cases, including over 100 murder investigations, assisting in four death penalty cases, and contributing to two federal death penalty cases. He has also handled numerous other criminal matters, including drug trafficking, assault and battery with intent to kill, criminal sexual conduct, arson, and Post-Conviction Relief (PCR) cases.

Pete has been recognized as an expert in General Sessions Court for cell phone forensics and has testified in a variety of court systems across South Carolina.

Outside of work, Pete treasures time with his family—his wife, son, and daughter. He is an active member of Good Shepherd Church, a welcoming community committed to inviting all people into a living relationship with Jesus Christ.

Pete is also a founding member and former President of the South Carolina Public Defender Investigators Association, reflecting his commitment to both professional excellence and advocacy in the investigative community.
